Zoom SDK Compliance:

Per Zoom's latest regulations, the Sybill Notetaker must now receive the Zoom meeting host's permission to record the conversation. This will trigger the native (in-built) Zoom recording audio-visual notification, and this can't be changed or disabled in any way.

About this integration:

Sybill's Zoom OAuth integration lets your Notetaker automatically start recording your Zoom meetings in which you are the host. This will bypass the need for you to provide permission to the Notetaker to record the calls locally for meetings hosted under your Zoom account.

The Notetaker will still show up on your calls, and this won't download the calls from Zoom's cloud recording.

Scopes of this integration:

Since this is an OAuth integration, the following scopes are used by Sybill from your Zoom account:

  1. user:read - This is used to read the profile of your Zoom account and match it to your Sybill account.

  2. meeting:read - This is used to read the details about your Zoom meetings once we receive that the meeting has been created on your Calendar.

  3. meeting_token:read:local_recording - This is used to auto-start the recording of Zoom meetings hosted under your account

  4. user_zak:read - This will be used to join meetings for which "Only Authenticated Users can Join" enforcement is turned on

How to connect:

You can connect this integration from your personal settings page. Look for the Connect Zoom button.

How to disconnect:

Once connected, you can use the Disconnect Zoom button from the same settings page.

What happens after I disconnect:

Once you have disconnected the account, the Notetaker will no longer be able to retrieve the permission tokens, and will therefore need to be allowed by the host of the Zoom meeting to record before a call can be recorded.
