Understanding Prorated Charges and Invoices
When making changes to your Sybill subscription, such as adding or removing seats, you may encounter prorated charges and invoices. Understanding prorated charges ensures clarity in billing and helps you manage your subscription effectively. Here's what you need to know:
1. What are Prorated Charges?
Prorated charges are adjustments made to your subscription fee based on the changes made during your billing cycle. These adjustments account for the remaining days in your current billing period and ensure fair billing for the added or removed seats.
2. How Prorated Charges Work:
Let's say you have a monthly subscription plan with 10 seats and decide to increase it to 15 seats in the middle of your billing cycle. The prorated charge will be calculated based on the number of days remaining until your next billing cycle. You will be billed for the additional seats for the remaining days, and the charge will be reflected in your invoice.
3. Invoice Generation:
Once the prorated charges have been calculated, an invoice is generated reflecting the adjustments and providing a breakdown of the charges. The invoice will be sent to the primary account owner's registered email address. If you've already added a credit card, your credit card will be charged immediately after you purchase the additional seats in Sybill.
4. Payment Due Date:
The invoice will specify the payment due date. It's important to make the payment before the due date to avoid any disruption in service. Failure to pay the invoice on time may result in temporary suspension or limitations on your Sybill account. Alternatively, if you already have a credit card entered in your Sybill account, it will be charged automatically following your purchase of the additional seats.
