How do I connect my Gong account to Sybill?

It's a three-step process to connect your Gong account to Sybill.

Prerequisites

  • Your company needs to have a company account in Gong

  • The connecting user needs to have Technical Administrator permissions in Gong

  • Access to a valid Gong Public API key and secret - a Technical Admin should have access to request a new key/secret in Gong’s company settings

  • [Optional] Access to connect Salesforce, Hubspot, and Slack with Sybill to receive the magic summaries

Step 1: Enable Gong-to-Sybill Integration for the team

  • Sign in to Gong with an account that has Technical Administrator permissions.

  • Locate the company’s key and secret for the Gong Public API (https://app.gong.io/company/api). If a key/secret is not already available, click the “Create” button on the Gong API page to create a new key/secret.

  • Store the credentials within your Sybill admin account

Once this goes through successfully, you will receive an email with the subject "Complete connecting Gong to Sybill" from Sybill (admin_at_sybill.ai)

Step 2: Start receiving the Magic Summaries over the email

Once your Gong installation is connected to Sybill, the AEs (internal participants) on each of the Gong calls will start receiving the Magic Summaries via email once the Gong call has been completed.

During the installation, you can even specify a backfill period (maybe a few days) for which we will process all of your historic Gong calls.

[Optional] Step 3: Connect your CRM and Slack to Sybill

In the email, you will get 2 buttons to connect your Slack and CRM installation to Sybill. That way, we will be able to push the magic summaries directly to Slack channels and attach them to the relevant accounts, opportunities, etc.
