Using the new Sybill Slackbot

How to get your Sybill Slackbot up and running so that you can ask Sybill questions and get answers directly from Slack, just by tagging @Sybill.

New: Sybill Slackbot

With Sybill Slackbot, anyone on your team can ask Sybill questions and get answers directly from Slack just by tagging @Sybill.

How to set up your Sybill Slackbot:

For your team to use this feature, your Sybill Admin will need complete the following steps:

1. Disconnect Slack in the Sybill app

In Sybill, go to Settings -> Integrations -> Slack, and hit "Disconnect"

2. Delete Sybill from Slack

In Slack, under Apps click on Sybill -> About -> Configuration, and scroll down to his "Remove App" and confirm.

3. Re-connect Slack in the Sybill app

Return to Sybill, go to Settings -> Integrations -> Slack, and re-connect Slack.

After that, you're all set!

Your team can tag @Sybill in any Slack channel, ask your questions, and get Ask Sybill answers directly in Slack.

Note: The first time you tag Sybill in a channel, Slack will ask if you want to add Sybill to that channel, just like it does when you tag a new person in a channel.

Q: How do I use the Sybill Slackbot?

Easy. After your admin has gone through the above setup process, you can use Ask Sybill in any channel just by tagging @Sybill. For first time asks, Slack will prompt you to add Sybill to the channel.

Q: What data does Sybill use to answer the questions I ask in Slack?

Sybill will look at the immediate context in Slack to understand your question, then pull from your calls, emails, and CRM to fetch the answer... just like in the App.

Q: How do I disable the Sybill Slackbot?

As of December 2025, Sybill Slackbot is enabled for all Sybill users who connect Sybill to Slack. If you wish to disable this feature, please reach out to customer success.
