Introduction
The new Commenting feature on meeting recordings helps you collaborate better with your team by allowing contextual, time-stamped feedback directly on meeting videos or transcripts. Whether it's a coaching suggestion, clarification, or a quick note to a teammate, comments make communication seamless and centralized.
How to Add a Comment
There are two ways to leave a comment:
1. Via the Meeting Video Player
While watching a meeting recording, click the Comment button.
You can either pause and comment or click it while the video plays.
Add your message, tag relevant team members using "@", and click Send.
Your comment will appear on the right panel and as a bubble on the video timeline.
2. Via the Transcript
Hover over any line in the transcript.
Click the comment icon that appears.
Add your comment and hit Send.
Public vs. Private Comments
By default, comments are public and visible to anyone who views the meeting.
If you'd like to keep your comment limited:
Only the thread creator and mentioned teammates will see it.
You will see a lock icon indicating it’s a private comment.
Please note: You cannot convert a public comment to private after posting it.
Additionally:
You can only make a thread private, not individual replies within a public thread.
If you mention someone in a private thread, they are automatically added to the viewer list.
Managing Comments
Once a comment is posted, you can:
Copy the comment link to share.
Delete your comment if needed.
Mark as unread to revisit later.
Use arrow keys or navigation to jump between previous/next comments.
Unread comments are shown in orange. Once you click them, they are marked as read.
